Hi I’m Elyse!  I have 10 years of professional experience capturing love stories and elopements.

I live in Ladysmith British Columbia, on Vancouver Island, with my parner and our two boys… I always knew I deep down inside that I would be a boy mom!  They keep my on my toes and in shape!

I started my photography career at the ripe age of ten when I got my first disposable film camera for a school field trip to the salmon run. Long story short, after being published in a Kamloops magazine, I was hooked. I have always been fascinated with playing with light and shadows and how they create a mood and tell a story.

I am a lover of all things outdoors (yes, including the snow!), especially if it includes being barefoot in the sunshine.  When I’m not chasing our children I can be found hanging out in my garden whispering at the veggies to grow really big, listening to 60’s and 70’s rock n’roll (or Raffi if I’m being honest), or shamelessly doing anything stupid to make our little ones laugh!

I’ve been taking advantage of life on the west coast by adventuring as much as possible!  It is important that our children grow up with a deep respect for this beautiful planet and leave as little footprint as possible.  One of our favourite things to do is berry picking in the forest and learning about new edible berries and plants indigenous to the west coast.
